what if magic was real but it was treated the way music is now with different genres and shit like “oh youre still into conjuring? thats cool I guess. recently ive been getting into third-wave post-necromancy, it’s some pretty heavy stuff”
That exists. It’s a comic called Phonogram by Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie, the current team on Young Avengers. It’s amazing.
Day of the Doctor in 3D at the St. Louis Mills tonight!
Don’t know if any of my followers live in the STL area, but I will be in my Seventh Doctor costume at the St. Louis Mills tonight for the 7:30 showing of Day of the Doctor. If you’re there, come say hello!
Tomorrow night from 6 to 8 at the Slackers in Alton, you can meet me, oheysteenz, and theartoftabby in person and get a copy of a comic containing work by all of us, the new Ink and Drink anthology On The Rocks.
And I’m sorry, non-Whovian swearing feline, but I will be reblogging some funny little stuff I’ve made relating to Doctor Who at noon all week long to build up to the anniversary this weekend. So keep your eyes peeled, followers!
(And FYI, that poor non-Whovian swearing feline is mine… and she’s named Rose Tyler.)
I saw your Seven Halloween costume in the tags. Considering the fact that you're an actual English professor, I feel like you missed a golden opportunity to say "I'm not Doctor Who, I'm your English teacher!"
If I said that, my students wouldn’t be bovvered, though.
Hello! I just wanted to say that you honestly look identical to the seventh doctor, and it's quite amazing. I was wondering if you would be willing to tell me how you acquired your vest, or if you made it yourself
Thank you for the incredible compliment! I actually bought my sweater off of eBay. I got extremely lucky that someone my size apparently didn’t want their sweater anymore, especially since it appears to me to be made by hand.
A week from today, the new anthology from my group of comic creators, Ink and Drink Comics, will be debuting. The book is called On The Rocks, and it is a collection of romance-themed short stories.
The release party will take place at Star Clipper Comics in the Delmar Loop in STL, MO from noon to three pm. I will unfortunately only be able to attend for the first hour or so, but you should come out and meet several of the other creators involved in the book.
If you can’t make it then, there should be several other signings happening that you could attend instead. More details about those will be forthcoming.
And if you’d like to see what I contributed to this anthology, I’ll be posting some samples all next week, so watch this space.
